Pride Toronto has been in existence in various forms since the late 1970's and annually since 1981. Over the years, what began as a statement on the existence of lesbians and gays, has evolved into an inclusive and award winning arts and cultural festival.

Today, Pride Week in Toronto is one of Canada's premier arts and cultural festivals recognized as a "Signature Event" by the City of Toronto, and is one of the largest Prides in the world. An integral part of Canada’s history as an open and diverse society, Pride Week in Toronto is a one-of-a-kind event featuring ten days of dynamic arts and culture, community activities and fabulousness.
